About the Opportunity
The Biosciences group at ANSTO focuses on developing and translating radiopharmaceuticals to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases for human health. As the Senior Preclinical Imaging Scientist, you will work within a high-performance, multidisciplinary team to provide subject matter expertise and leadership in preclinical imaging (PET/SPECT/CT). You will lead the enhancement of state-of-the-art preclinical imaging capabilities at ANSTO’s Lucas Heights campus, home to more than AU $1 billion of science infrastructure. You will collaborate with some of Australian radiopharmaceutical companies and universities, maximise the user experience, provide best practice operations, and enable life-changing research in preclinical imaging.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the effective development and deployment of preclinical imaging capabilities for the measurement, quantification and understanding of key biological processes and disease states.
Lead the development of animal disease models and apply them to preclinical animal imaging studies, biodistribution studies, in vivo pharmacokinetics and data analysis.
Develop state-of-the-art preclinical animal imaging capabilities and provide the relevant training to the team and users.
Formulate collaborative research programs and projects using ANSTO capabilities in preclinical imaging to deliver high impact outcomes in alignment with ANSTO’s strategic imperatives.
